Hi everyone, it's Diane here to introduce a new theme for the week that I know you are going to love...using negative space. Basically, negative space is the space which surrounds an object in an image. It is often used to frame an object. For my layout, I used negative space in the form of a banner to frame my photo.
I cut out the banner using my Cameo and popped it up off the background page to add more dimension. Next, I layered small flowers, butterflies, pinked circles and small banner pieces between the two layers and on the top layer.
The simple banner across the page left me with lots of white space for adding my title and some finishing touches. I used the space at the top for clouds and butterflies and the bottom left corner for my title.
