Happy Thursday everyone! Ursula and I are here today to share two projects that focus on happenings in the New Year!
First, Ursula shares a fun, layered layout that incorporated multiple photos and cool elements.
Ursula says: The New Year has brought some very 'concrete' changes in our home. As in, the concrete is exposed, along with the studs and wiring. We're doing a bit of
remodeling and the dust hit the fan right at New Year's. I am excited for the
changes, not so very exstatic about the mess though.
the Christmas Cheer paper lines to create a warm and homey page.
For my project, I created a page that incoporates a mini album of sorts. I thought it would be fun to document each family member's goals for the year.
The Monday-Friday card opens up when unclipped. The inside is constructed with Index Journal Cards and strips of paper.
To create the inserts, I first cut small rectangles of paper and scored them down the middle. I folded down the middle and then glued the left hand side of the strip to the back of the index card.
After glueing individual strips on each of the other cards, I started adhering each card down. The other side of the folded rectangle of each card was adhered to the layout. The Monday-Friday card needed a slightly bigger strip of paper so that the white cards showed when it was all closed.
It is a neat way to include lots of hidden journaling. I love how it resembles a file folder!
Supplies: Persnickety (Patterned Paper, 6X6 Tiny Tablet, Index Journal Cards, ABC Cardstock Stickers, Mixed Cardstock Stickers)
We hope you are taking time to document your reflections about the new year!
