Hey everyone, happy December to you! For the next three weeks, the design team will be sharing holiday inspiration to jumpstart your creativity this season.
Heather Leopard and I (Cindy Liebel) are here to start it off with a trio of handcrafted Christmas trees showcasing the ever so pretty Christmas Cheer collection.
Heather created some remarkable wooden trees displayed perfectly on her mantel. Here is what she had to say about her lovely creation.
After so many years, they were really on their last leg, starting to chip the paint but the overall trees were still in great condition (see the original trees on my blog). [BLOG IS http://thespottedleopard.blogspot.com/ ]
I decided to cover the trees with a variety of pattern paper and dress them up with some pretty bows and bells. Now they are back to good and proudly displayed on my mantle again.
Since I have been wanting to add to my holiday decor, I created three various styles of Christmas trees.
I've adored this style of tree for a while and am so happy that I spent the time layering stacks of pattern paper, each square separated using scraps from a cardboard box to create and form the naturally textued Christmas tree to display on our TV stand. Easy as ever and definitely worth the time creating.
The second tree was simply created using four cone shaped patterns, layered with gilttered curvy waves, topped with a white shimmery ball.
To create my last tree, I used a styrofoam cone using small brown scallop circles punched from Autumn Spice with plain stick pins. The base of the tree has a layer of hemp for a natural look.
Thanks so much for stopping by the Lily Bee blog today and be sure to check back tomorrow and the rest of the week for more creative holiday inspiration from the team.

These are amazing! Beautiful work from both of you.
