Anyone up for a challenge???
I'm so glad to hear it! I've got one that can be as simple or as complex as you want to make it.
I (Ursula), recently began to feel very inspired by the many different ways in which strips can be used in layout design. I'm sharing a layout I created this week that focuses on strips as the main design element.
Lily Bee Supplies used: This & That (ABC Cardstock Stickers, Postcards PP, Brooch PP) Buttercup (Rain Boots PP), Double Dutch ( Croquet PP, Marigold PP, Key Lime Pie PP)
What I love about strips is that they allow me to use a LOT of different papers on a project without causing the end result to seem overly busy. Its also a great way to use up small scraps that you may have left over from a previous project.
To emphasize the strip theme, I also chose to 'stitch' my two photos together by cutting strips into the ends of the photos and weaving them together.
The papers I used were chosen to coordinate with the vivid colors found in my photos.
Strips were cut random widths and lengths to keep a feeling of movement along the page.
Today's challenge is for you to find a way to make STRIPS the main design element in your next project. Think in terms of lots of options for those strips, including paper, punched borders, trim, tape, word stickers and whatever else your mind comes up with.
We can't wait to see what you come up with!
Tuesdays' Designers' Choice Challenge provides you with the opportunity to play along for your chance at winning a monthly prize pack! Here are the rules to keep in mind:
